We've marched, knocked on doors, petitioned, and raised our voices, and now we are so close to winning our 100-unit, 100% affordable housing development on Emmett Street, just steps from the Logan Square Blue Line.
The next hurdle for this development is the Chicago Plan Commission meeting on Thursday, October 17 at 10AM at City Hall (Second Floor, Council Chambers), 121 N. LaSalle Street. We need you there to raise your voice in support of this development!
The opponents of this development have vowed to attend this meeting en masse, in an attempt to convince the Chicago Plan Commission to oppose the project. We have to show up and let Chicago Plan Commission members know that this development has the overwhelming support of our Logan Square community!
We hope to see you at City Hall on Thursday, October 17 and invite you to travel to City Hall that day with your neighbors.
TRAVEL TO CITY HALL WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS: Join us at 8:30AM on October 17 at the Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA) office, 2840 N. Milwaukee, to ride the Blue Line together to City Hall. We'll depart LSNA at 8:45AM to arrive at City Hall by 9:30AM.
IN EVENT OF CPS STRIKE: Teachers may go on strike on Thursday, October 17. If they do, we invite you to join us at Avondale-Logandale School, 3212 W. George (Kedzie and Wellington), starting at 7:30AM. We'll walk the picket line with our teachers, rally outside of the school with our teachers at 8:15AM, and then walk over to the Logan Square Blue Line (Kedzie and Milwaukee) to ride the train to City Hall!
